George Herman "Babe" Ruth, Jr., nicknamed "the Bambino" and "the Sultan of Swat", was an American professional baseball player. He was a Major League Baseball pitcher and outfielder who played for 22 seasons on three teams, from 1914 through 1935. Ruth was born in 1895 and died in 1948. Babe Ruth is most recognized for his many record breaking accomplishments and for being a role model for any sport fanatic in the 1920s. He was known as the greatest player of the century.
William Harrison "Jack" Dempsey was an American professional boxer and cultural icon of the 1920s. He held the World Heavyweight Championship from 1919 to 1926. Many of his fights set financial and attendance records, including the first million dollar gate.He is a member of the International Boxing Hall of Fame. Harrison wrote a book called " How to Fight Tough". Harrison died in 1983.
